The Wytham Hall Painting Prize is a one-off competition designed to provide up to six large-scale paintings to brighten the public rooms in the main house. The Trustees are offering £6000 in prize money. There could be one winner-take-all; there could be six.
The Judges will be Vanessa Jackson RA, Sacha Craddock, Danny Rolph and Daniel Sturgis
Applications: no more than six jpeg images at 72dpi to be sent by email to: firstname.lastname@example.org
Each jpeg to be labeled with surname, title, date, size, medium. No painting should be over 2 metres in either dimension.
Applications may be sent in from 1st January 2018.
The closing date is 1st March 2018.
The short list: all applicants will be notified by 7th March 2018.
Shortlisted applicants will be asked to bring their paintings to Wytham Hall and unpack them on Monday 19th March 2018 between 1pm and 4pm. There will be secure storage.
Judging of shortlisted paintings will take place on Tuesday 20th March 2018 Applicants will be given the results on the same day.
All paintings must be removed on Wednesday 21st March 2018 between 1pm and 4pm.
Award and Private View
The winner or winners will be announced publicly in late April 2018, with a Private View at Wytham Hall and press coverage.
